HEAD.WARMER.

THE BEANIE
The one thing I adore about Winter is that you can wear a beanie.
There is nothing better than going out on the town and being able to pull off some sort of knitted goodness to cover your freezing ears and hide your unwashed locks.

While the beanie used to be seen as a ‘bogan’ accessory, worn only by those who sported daggy tracksuit pants and hoodies, the modern beanie has been transformed. Now these head warmers can be found decked with pom poms, animal ears, embellished with crystals, preaching a slogan or sporting the neon trend.
My tip: Go for a long slouchy style to avoid looking like a glow worm (do you remember those?)

I adore my neon beanie from American Apparel and it will certainly be getting another workout this year as I still long for neon pops in my outfits. American Apparel has a variety of colours so buy one for you and your man and swap colours when you want! (The secret behind my unexpected gifts is out now… whoops)

XXL.

OVERSIZED.
It should come as no surprise that I love things that are oversized and overstated.
I love my jumpers big and baggy, my sunglasses drowning my face and my bags big enough to fit my life in.
I have a theory that oversized clothes make me feel more confident - I am never going to be one of those people that can pull off the bandage dress and somehow, a little oversize t-shirt mini dress or cute oversize tee and denim cut-offs works perfectly in my favour. I feel happy, relaxed and... well comfortable (cue happy smiles on a night out on the town, no readjusting required and party town on the dance floor).

So whether it's your clutch, hair, nails, jeans, shoes or dress this weekend - GO LARGE.

ARMY.NATION.

KHAKI.
All I want is some khaki, camouflage, military, army-esque goodness in my life.
I love the khaki look for Winter, teamed back with dark denim or leather.
I am looking for the perfect mix of khaki in my wardrobe- obviously you don't want to look as though you have just invested in a piece from the local Army Supplies store.

Sass and Bide have got a stunning pair of camo skinny leg jeans that I have got on my mind.
Shop 'The New Chase' Zippora jean here (note: they fit like a dream)

So while I'm not out to fight fights or even roll around in the mud for some boot camp action, I am thinking that some khaki would do wonders for the cooler months.

Over and Out (that's an army term I think?)

BORN.LIPPY.

SEEING.RED.
Gorgeous Rihanna can certainly pull off the red lip and shows us that red lipstick has a place in every outfit. Whether you are walking the streets, dressed up to the nines for an event, dancing the night away at a club or just relaxing in a beanie - a slick of red lippy can jazz you up instantly.
It's like a beauty pick-me-up for when you're feeling low or wanting a little 'lift' to your outfit.

I have just got onto Ruby Woo by MAC Cosmetics - the perfect red with a matte finish.
The best thing about red? As I've mentioned before - it suits everyone. It's all about picking the right tone for you and your skin tone.

Why not try red lipstick with your outfit this weekend?
Instant glamour and an extra confidence boost? Yes please!
